Does Skin Brushing Really Help Get Rid of Cellulite?

Posted on

It is the age old question; can anything really be done about cellulite? There are hundreds of creams and wraps that claim they can help you say goodbye to those annoying dimples but most of them just don't work. The dimpled patches just under the skin are the result of fat accumulating in pockets near fibrous chords that connect your skin to underlying muscle. There is no product out there that is %100 percent effective, but could one of the oldest anti-cellulite treatments still be out best option?

Skin brushing seems like the magical holy grail of cellulite care we didn't know we were looking for. It's cheap, easy, and seems to take very little time. Simply take a bristled brush, and go over each area of skin brushing in circular motions. According to Holistic Health Library, the whole process shouldn't take more than five to ten minutes.

The brushing is said to enhance blood flow to all areas of the skin, and if you spend a little extra time, promote blood flow to those troublesome areas. Brushing the skin stimulated the Lymphatic system and promote weight loss on top of the cellulite reduction.

I had to admit, I was curious, so I decided to find out if the brush, in fact, was the miracle worker it claimed to be. My skin always seemed to be dry and flaky, and cellulite was definitely an issue for me. I used the Cellulite Fighting Body Brush which can be found HERE Here's what I thought:

I used the skin brush every night before bed. My whole body would take around six minutes after which point I showered and moisturised my skin.

The first few days of my self-imposed "Skin Brushing Challenge" I saw a really big difference in the look and feel of my skin. The cellulite was still there, but my skin GLOWED. The brush took all of the dead and flaky skin off better than any of the body scrubs I had previously used when wet.

One of the main differences I noticed was a diminished appearance of the bumps on my upper arms. They appeared much smoother and softer to the touch after the first week of use.

After one week,. I would say my cellulite diminished about 10%. I'm not sure if this is because my skin in general just looks so much better or if the brush itself is helping the cellulite but I must say I'm thrilled with the results!

If you are trying to get rid of stubborn cellulite, I would definitely give this method a go before resorting to something more drastic or expensive.
